Bosebuck Weather and News:

Updated Tuesday, 05/06/08 7:05am

It is a bright, beautiful morning here at Bosebuck Mountain Camps. We did have a frost last night
but now that the sun is shining it has already melted. The forecast is calling for warm temps in the
60's today this is what I need to get all this laundry done. Lots and lots of blankets and comforters
to be washed and hung out to dry. Nothing like the smell of nice clean linens when you climb into bed
after a long hard day fishing.

As you can see from the webcams the dock and the boats are in the lake ready and waiting for the
fishermen who will be this weekend. We have had numerous calls about the ice and I can now confirm
the entire lake is free and clear. Road travel beyond camp is still too wet, but access by boat to the
upper river for fishing is possible.

					**FOR YOUR INFORMATION**

** Parmachenee Road between miles 6 and 7 has been washed away do to the snow melt and rushing watering
near Abbot Brook. It has settled somewhat, but it still looks like it could pass for a moonscape.

** Please be advised that in order to prevent the extremely invasive algae “Didymo” from entering our
pristine watershed, anything that enters the water from Bosebuck will be washed down with an appropriate
cleaning solution prior to entering the lake. That includes fishing gear, wader clothing, water shoes,
sandals, canoes & kayaks. For more information visit Maine Department of Environmental Protection

Keep in mind that Bosebuck is also a great get-a-way during the summer and with our specials rates from
July 1st to August 14th, it is and ideal setting for a family vacation. If you have only visited
in the winter, you should return for the summer. The fishing is great, we have canoes, kayaks and
small motor boats for rent. Miles and miles of roads and trails to hike, bike and enjoy.
