Bosebuck Weather and News:

Updated Wednesday 07/01/09 7:39AM

Alright, I'm up and about waiting to serve breakfast to some of our late risers so
I'm updating this post. We have a busy long weekend ahead with a full camp and sorry
to have turned away many others. For those that didn't call in time, perhaps you'll
try again next year, but call early so you don't miss out again.

As you can see from the webcams, the water is very high in the lake and rivers. The
water temps up above is still in the 50's so the fish are enjoying these extended
spring-like conditions.

The current temperature here at camp is 61 degrees with relative humidity of 85% with
wind directly from the south. That can't be a good sign and most likely will bring
more precipitation our way. Anyone in need of mushrooms?

It's July 1st and therefore our summer rate special begins today - $99.00 per adult per
night and depending on the length of your stay you may enjoy a FREE night or FREE use
of a boat and motor. Visit our rates page for all the details and give us call.

For all you lucky Maine & New Hampshire Moose Lottery winners, if your area in Maine
is WMD #7 or Zone A2 in New Hampshire, Bosebuck Mountain Camps is the place for your
hunt. Give us a call to discuss our full week package which includes meals, lodging,
scouting and a fully guided hunt.

This is also the time to reserve your week for a Bear Hunt. We are limiting our
reservations to no more than 6 hunters per week and the first week of the season is
already sold out. We have some availability for the three remaining weeks which start on
Sunday, September 6th, 13th or the 20th.

Our first photography weekend was very successful in several ways. They all captured
great shots, ate too much delicious food and left happy but exhausted. We should have
a few photos to share in the very near future. They captured some beautiful landscapes,
a black bear, a family of otters, an immature eagle and of course a number of loons.
We definitely will be putting together future photography weekends, the first of which
will be held the first weekend of October focusing (no pun intended) on moose since it
will be rut season. If you are interested, send along an email.

Don’t forget about our Wilderness Navigation Course being held on August 21st, 22nd
and 23rd. Anyone that spends time in the great outdoors whether it be hunting,
fishing, hiking, geo-caching, camping or any other activity will learn valuable
lessons with this course. A map and compass are no good to you unless you know how to
use them. Attendees will gather a good deal of practical information both in the
classroom and in the field. If you are interested in attending send us an email or
call to reserve your spot.

Acadian Seaplanes has begun operations from the dock in Rangeley. In addition to
various scenic flights and taxi services throughout the State of Maine, Keith will be
offering a fly & dine package (two person min/four person max) to/from Rangeley with
dinner at Bosebuck. Check out his website at www.acadianseaplanes.com for more
information or call me at (207) 670-0013 and I'll handle all the arrangements on your
behalf. Or how about flying into a remote pond with a Registered Maine Guide by your
side and fishing the day away from a float tube? If this is something you would like
to experience, we can make it happen. Call anytime to inquire about details.

For Your Info - we will be serving lunch this spring, summer and fall from 11:30
to 1:30. Ann will be serving soup, sandwiches and other specials for our lodging
guests that choose not to have a bag lunch prepared and the general public. So, if
you happen by on the lake or make it a point to drive in, come and enjoy a lunch lake
side. Dinner reservations will still be required from the public at least 24 hours
in advance.

This is a great place to hold your own corporate retreat, family reunion, wedding
or group event with or without overnight accommodations. Give us a call to discuss
your situation and we can work out the details together.
