| Hunting
at Bosebuck Camps...
Bosebuck Mountain Camps is at the center of a 200,000-acre
wilderness, providing prime habitat for wildlife and yielding
an excellent population of birds, deer, moose and bear. We
can secure skilled guides for you (with
or without dogs for bird hunters) and we are licensed
by the state of Maine to sell hunting licenses.

Bosebuck
Camps offers the very best Ruffed Grouse and Woodcock
hunting in New England. 20 flushes a day is typical
(mostly grouse). This
season starts the first of October. We boast all sorts
of bird cover: abandoned logging roads, regenerating
clearcuts and golden beech ridges. Our tremendous
stands of mixed spruce, alder and poplar produce world
class upland bird hunting, especially for grouse.
The woodcock prefer the damper, low-lying areas near
our rivers and streams

The
best kept secret is the local Moose population around
our camps. We have gated access to 26,000 acres
of private lands where Moose typically go unhunted
year after year. Last year (2004), several 50+ inch
bulls were spotted AFTER the end of the Moose hunting
season. This year Bosebuck is offering a special
Moose hunting package with our very own Registered
Maine Guide. See the rates
page for more info.
